ANXIETY

I’ve been having strange feelings for the past few months. I’m not sure what causes the nervousness and restlessness, which can last for a short time or last for a long time. When I’m in certain situations, my hands and feet become cold and clammy. I’m not sure what to do about this uncomfortable and unpleasant sensation.

My heart starts racing every now and then, and it’s the worst feeling I’ve ever had. I went to my primary care physician for the same reason, and I have my blood pressure checked on a regular basis. They say everything is normal, but why don’t I feel that way? I’m afraid of a variety of situations and places; I’m afraid to leave the house for fear of something bad happening to me. What if I don’t get any assistance? What if people make fun of me? I miss living a normal life, and I wish I had friends with whom I could share my experiences, but I’m not sure if I’ll ever be able to shake this uneasy feeling.

After a few months, I went to another doctor, who recommended that I see a psychiatrist, who then referred me to a psychologist. Anxiety disorder was diagnosed by the psychologist.

Anxiety attacks are frequently confused with physical conditions such as high blood pressure or a heart attack. Medicines aided in the control of my physical symptoms and alleviated my discomfort.
